Grapes grown at Brownwood Vineyard will be supplied to Endeavour’s Josef Chromy Winery Tourism Tasmania The vineyard previously sold for $1.45 million in 2018 when it was purchased by the Ransley family. Records show it sold in late September for $5.85 million to Barossa Valley-based Dorrien Estate, which is owned by Endeavour’s Pinnacle Drinks. The 57-hectare Brownwood Vineyard in Campania just north of Hobart in the Coal River Valley includes 17.6ha of vines planted to pinot noir, chardonnay and riesling. Struggling hospitality giant Endeavour has snaffled up a boutique Tasmanian vineyard for almost $6 million as demand for cooler climate properties producing premium wine grapes remains strong amid wider problems in the sector.
